State assessments serve as a measure of how well our students are performing relative to Minnesota's academic standards for college and career readiness as well as meeting federal and state legislation requirements. Results from these assessments allow us to see how well our schools are aligning curriculum and instruction to the expected levels of proficiency. From these assessments, we gather information regarding how many students are right on track, how many students are exceeding those expectations, or which students may be in need of additional support. These data points can help schools monitor the effectiveness of their teaching and learning practices.
Please see the included documents for more information regarding assessments.
Subject tests will be delivered to students as follows:
Reading: MCA or MTAS (grades 3-8, 10)
Mathematics: MCA or MTAS (grades 3-8, 11)
Science: MCA or MTAS (grades 5, 8, 10)
