Senior girls after the grand march

While wet weather most of Saturday afternoon made keeping an elegant hairdo in place and taking photos outside difficult, the rain let up just as prom attendees were pulling their cars up to the school auditorium for the evening grand march.

Including invited sophomores, juniors and seniors, 50 couples participated in the gala, which was themed “A Starry Night.”

Sophomores Lacey McCabe and Riley Kriha were the emcees.

Asia Kern was chosen by drawing to be prom queen while Connor Urban was picked as prom king

After the grand march, attendees danced to music played by Rich Kern.

More came to the after party, which was held in the new gym and commons, put on by parents of junior students and carried the theme “The Great Outdoors.”

There, they broke into teams for game competition. Winners earned tickets that helped win prizes.

Raffle ticket sales, bingo nights at the Legion and donations by dozens of area businesses supported the after party.

The valet parking group greeted prom attendees as they pulled up in front of the school.
