Visiting Mankato Loyola didn’t give the eighth-grade boys much of a problem on Tuesday in a 50-6 stomping.

The Clippers had a safe 22-4 lead at the break.

Garrett Heldberg had 13 points, including a basket from the three-point sector. Zander Linder totaled eight points. Miles Tomaszewski dropped in a two and a three for five points. With four points were Carsyn Ryg, Wyatt Krenik, Kiptyn Coon, Ethan Hoehn and Harry Fuller. Jack Anderson and Aiden Giese each chipped in a basket.

Heldberg gripped 10 rebounds for a double-double. Coon and Giese each hauled down five rebounds. Luke Heldberg and Fuller each grabbed four rebounds.

Fuller had two steals and one assist. Garrett Heldberg had four steals and two assists. Anderson had three steals and one rebound. Tomaszewski had two rebounds and one steal. Krenik had two assists and a rebound. Coon had two steals and two assists. Hoehn had three rebounds, one steal and one assist. Linder had two rebounds and one steal.

The eighth-grade boys are back in action on Friday when they road trip to Lake Crystal. The Knights edged the Clippers 33-30 at a conference tournament a couple of weeks ago.
