Despite a strong tail wind that made for rapidly ascending clays, the average (mean) score for the Clipper trap team at the Caribou Gun Club on Wednesday was 32.3, up a point from the week before.
It was the final regular shoot of the season.
With a 44, Judd Gibbs led the Clippers. Noah Hermel and Gabe Sullivan each downed 43 targets. Jake Mueller shot a 42. With a 40, Colton Tousley was one of 11 Clippers who posted a season-best score.
Gauge Bock and Dylan Zimmerman broke up 39 targets. For Zimmerman, it was his best effort this season. Brunson Gibbs and Tony Hollerich each scored a 38.
Reid Knish, Blake Stocker, Cole Stocker, Nick Simonette and Zayden Linder each dropped 37 targets. For Linder, it was a dozen-point increase from a week ago and his season best.
With 36s were Derek Miller, Marshall Heldberg, Henry Boelter, Chase Bock and Jeremy Miller. For Miller, a seventh grader, it was his season best and a 14-point increase from last week.
Kaden Schmidt, Nolan Schlaak and Greyson Tomaszewski all recorded 34s. Max Esser and Adam Seeman each connected with 33 targets, for Esser, that represented a dozen-point increase from last Wednesday.
With a 31, Chase Roemhildt shot his best score. John Ritchie also shot a 31 as did Aiden Giese. Blake Gibbs grounded 29 targets. Urijah Hoheisel and Zander Hoechst each scored a 28.
Also with a 28, Carter Kern shot his season best and made an 18-point improvement from last week. Olivia Reinhardt upped her score the most from a week ago though. Her 27 represented a 19-point improvement and set a PR.
Kendra Zimmerman was successful in half of her 50 shotgun blasts. Also with a 25 was Kayla Bauer. Abigail Osness’s 24 was her best score this year. Tyler Smith shot a 23.
Sixth grader Steve Giebel and seventh grader Lucas Kortuem each shot a PR 22. Oliver Starke scored a season-best 19. Deandra Doerr shot an 18 while Brayden Seeman scored a 15.
This Wednesday at the Caribou Gun Club the Clippers will hold their awards banquet and have a team photo taken.
