Growing up with pigs and cows on a hobby farm in Tomah Wisconsin, about midway between La Crosse and Wisconsin Dells on Interstate 90, Jordan Kuehl developed a general love for animals.
But it was her high school Ag teacher who influenced Kuehl to be an Ag educator as well.
“She always pushed me outside of my comfort zone to experience new things, which is what I will try to achieve with my students. I decided I wanted to become a teacher when I went to elementary schools and taught them mini-lessons throughout the school year.”
After graduating from Tomah High School, Kuehl furthered her education at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education this spring.
She chose Cleveland for her first teaching position because an imitate community was what she was accustomed to.
“I grew up in a small area, so I think fits well with who I am. I am very excited to start this new year and see what I can make of it.”
Although Kuehl is licensed to be an Ag teacher, besides Intro to Agriculture, she will teach Tech Ed 8, Woods, Welding and Autos. Along with Madisyn Schuster, she will be an FFA co-advisor.
Kuehl likes meeting new people and creating relationships.
“My goals for the first year are to make connections with students and staff within the school year.”
When she is not teaching, she likes spending time outdoors going on walks or being out in the sun. She enjoys spending time with friends and family as well
