From populations of 425,000 to 412….new high school math teacher Ashley Stoel has taught in cities large and small.
She landed at Cleveland school this fall because it has an “excellent reputation,” she said.
Stoel was raised in Eden Prairie and graduated from high school there. She holds BS in mathematics education from MSU, Mankato and has a master’s degree in Differentiated Instruction from Concordia University-St. Paul.
She has taught in Edina, Chaska, Minneapolis, Big Stone City (SD), Mankato and Sibley East.
Her favorite classes to teach are algebra and geometry.
When she is not teaching math, she likes to garden, camp and attend concerts. She also marches in parades with the St. Peter Govenaires Drum and Bugle Corps.
She and husband Kurt have a six-year-old daughter, Nora.
