JH band with banner

Sixth Street and Broadway from the school to downtown Cleveland were festooned in orange and black and saturated with Clipper pride on Friday afternoon as the homecoming parade sashayed through.

The procession was led by the seventh and eighth grade band, which played the Clipper fight song.

Next came ranks of elementary students, homecoming royalty and class floats. CFD firetrucks brought up the back end.

As the Clippers were taking on Randolph in the football game, a Rocket was an ubiquitous motif.

Before the parade, students rallied at a pep fest in the new gym. Each elementary class performed a cheer. Emcee Rich Kern brought introduced the sports teams: tennis, cross country, volleyball and football.

At full strength, the pep band opened and closed the rally with the school song.
