Adding Nicollet, Lake Crystal, Sleepy Eye and Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther to a victory over Loyola for a five-game winning streak, the C girls are on a roll as their season winds down.
At home against Nicollet on October 3, the Clippers won the first game 25-10. It ended with a Sierra Lotspeich kill.
Lotspeich opened game two with an ace tip, but the Raiders kept up for most of the game and led occasionally, including 23-20 after a four-point surge that included a couple of kills.
But the run ended when they sent a hit out of bounds, and it was all Clippers from there, starting with a pair of Lotspeich ace serves, the first one ricocheting down off the net and the next one fooling the Raiders when it fell off the table to stalemate the game at 23.
Nicollet lost the next point on a hit out of bounds, and the game ended 25-23 when they shanked a Lotspeich serve.
The Clippers lost a practice game three 15-13.
