Sibley East came to town and spoiled the C girls’ season finale, beating the Clippers 2-1

Isabel Duron’s ace serve was the first winner for the Clippers in the first game and pulled then within one, 7-6. The game deadlocked 8-8 when the Wolverines shanked a Sierra Lotspeich serve.

Lotspeich uncoiled another service ace and a backrow kill to put the Clippers up 12-8 before her serve got caught in the net. But Neenah Lassiter spiked a kill, and Taylor Wolf served an ace, and the Clippers led 14-9. trailing 17-13

The Wolverines took the game over after that though, sending over kills and ace serves and winning the game 25-20 on back-to-back kills.

With the Clippers winning game two 25-14, the match came down to the race to15.

After kills by Ava Kluntz and Lassiter, the Wolverines watched a Lotspeich serve land on their side of the floor to put the Clippers up by a point, 8-7, but with a kill and an ace tip and a pair of Clipper errors, they scored the next four points.

A Clara Hilfer kill was the last winner for the Clippers, and they lost 15-11 when the Wolverines tipped into an open slot three feet past the net.

Kluntz and Lotspeich each totaled three kills. Liviana Lee had two kills, and Hilfer added one kill.

Duron had eight set assists. Jessilyn Milnes set for six assists. Hilfer had two set assists. Lassiter, Kluntz and Mattea Grandaw each had one set assist.

Lee extended for three solo ace blocks. Kluntz and Lassiter each had to ace block assists.

Lotspeich elevated six digs. Wolf and Hilfer each scraped five digs. Lee had three digs while Kluntz and Grandaw each had one dig.

Lotspeich and Lee each had three ace serves. Taylor Wolf served one ace.
