Job Opportunity: Director of Buildings and Grounds at Cleveland Public School
Cleveland Public School is a PreK-12 facility, a bus garage, and several outbuildings.
Seeking full-time Director to oversee maintenance and operation of school facilities
Ideal candidates should have experience in facilities maintenance and management.
Job Summary: Serves as the primary District resource to site and District administrators in areas related to custodial, grounds and maintenance services. Ensures efficient functioning and operation of District facilities in a manner that provides a safe, clean and attractive environment for students, staff, and the community.
Desired qualifications include:
Must have the ability to create positive relationships with staff, students and community members.
Class C Boilers License preferred or willing to obtain Class C Boilers License.
Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, carpentry, etc...
Panning, organizing, and coordinating maintenance, remodeling, or minor construction projects.
Maintain department and long-term facilities management (LTFM) budget with cooperation of district staff
Ability to hire, mentor, supervise, schedule, and evaluate personnel.
Assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.
Manages vendor contacts for supplies, equipment, and maintenance.
Oversees capital facilities plans.
Complies with Fire Marshal, OSHA, Minnesota Department of Health, and federal compliance orders.
Writing technical specifications, administering contracts and approving contract service and maintenance work.
Ability to create and maintain accurate tracking and keeping of records.
Operating a personal computer using standard and specialized software.
Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
