After rolling big over visiting Nicollet on Tuesday 61-15, the Clipper C boys fell on the road to Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther 49-38 on Thursday.

After a pair of Carsyn Ryg free throws, two Miles Tomaszewski baskets from the floor and a Ryg two-point bucket, the Clippers were in front 8-0 before the Raiders got on the scoreboard.

With the Clippers dominating the boards, Tomaszewski went on to score four more buckets from the floor and a three-point basket, and the Clippers lead 26-6 at the break.

In the second half, Wyatt Krenik put in five two-point baskets, Kiptyn Coon added six points, and Luke Heldberg added seven points as the Clippers cruised to the triumph.

With 17 points Tomaszewski led all players. Coon added 14 points, and Krenik totaled 10 points. Ryg posted nine points while Heldberg had eight points. Aiden Giese chipped in a pair of free shots.

Heldberg and Tomaszewski each parked a three. The Clippers were eight of 12 from the foul line. The Raiders had four threes and made three of six foul shots.  

In Granada, the Clippers were behind 30-19 at the break. Ryg put in a pair of two-point baskets and  a three while Tomaszewski put in a two and a three. Zander Linder, Jack Anderson and Heldberg each added a bucket.

Tomaszewski added eight points in the second half, and Coon contributed seven, but the Clippers couldn’t catch up.

With 13 points including a pair of threes, Tomaszewski led the effort. Coon had eight points, including one three. Ryg had seven points, including one three. Anderson and Heldberg each had four points. Linder chipped in a basket.

The Clippers made two of 11 foul shots. The Jaguars put in two three-point shots and seven of 13 free throw attempts.

The lights went out early in the C Clippers’ game in Le Sueur on Saturday, effectively canceling the contest. They took on USC in Wells last night (Monday) and will host Cedar Mountain/Comfrey tonight (Tuesday).
