Unrelenting with the full-court press, Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons dominated the Clipper B-Squad girls 52-12 on Tuesday.
Laci Hollerich’s free shot was the game’s first basket, but the Knights made the next seven points. Hollerich scored on a layup and a jumper, and Mariah McCabe (above) made a jump shot too, but the Knights, with their swarming defense, kept a 7-point lead.
Hollerich sunk two more free throws and spun inside for a basket, and McCabe made a free throw for five more Clipper points in the half, but the Knights were up 20-12 at the break.
The first 15 points of the second half went to the visitors before McCabe’s layup stopped the streak. Emma Treanor’s free throw was the only other Clipper score in the half.
Hollerich led the effort with nine points. McCabe added four.
