Back in action after being holed up a year ago, the Easter Bunny hopped over to Cleveland school Saturday morning where, one-by-one, cars pulled up and families got out for a visit.
Since rain forced the event inside, Community Education coordinator Rich Kern, acting as maître d, escorted kids from their cars to the awaiting bunny. While parents got a photo op, each kid received an Easter bucket with candy and other prizes.
Unlike in year’s past, there was no egg hunt across the gym floor, but Kern was just happy the traditional event could continue.
"Community Ed has been doing this for a long time, even before I came on. Last year we missed it. This year there were restrictions with large gatherings, so we decided to do an Easter Bunny drive through. The kids liked it, and the parents liked to get photos."
