With a 2-1 win over host Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial on Tuesday, Katie Hoffman's C-Black volleyball girls finished their season on a high note.

After winning the first game 25-15, the Clippers went in front 22-14 in game two on a Brenna McCarthy attack. From there, the Knights gave up three points on errors for a 25-18 Clipper triumph.

The Clippers tied the final game 8-8 on an Addi Holden ace serve, but the Clippers couldn’t keep out of the net after that and gave  up the next four points before Mady Seely landed a winner. 

The Clipper’s next serve was out, and the Knights followed up with an ace serve for a 13-10 lead before winning the practice game 15-12 on a kill.

Cassandra Connor kept 12 of her 13 serves in bounds with five of them aces. She also pulled up four digs. 

Mackenzie Smith was perfect in her six serve attempts with one of them an ace. She also had a trio of both digs and kills. 

Jocelyn Bartell was four of five from the service stripe and also pulled up five digs and swatted down five kills. 

Lilly Lamont made seven of nine serve attempts with two of them aces. She also had nine set assists, seven digs and a pair of kills. 

McCarthy landed all five of her serves with two of them aces. She also unearthed three digs, smacked four kills and walled up one ace block. 

Meanwhile, C-Orange—coached by Bree Meyer—fell 26-24, 13-25, 8-15. Chloe Haack had three kills and three ace serves. Allison Cink was seven for seven in serving and had six digs and three set assists. Jamillet Chacon scooped a dozen digs. Sam Coor was eight for nine in serving with three aces. She also had four digs and three kills.
