The Jags opened the game with a three, but the Clipper rallied for the next nine points.
Jaden Miller answered with a jump shot from the paint for a bucket, and Ethan Fuller (above) made a three-point play with an inside basket and ensuing foul shot. Miller put in an underhanded layup and followed it up with a steal and end-to-end trip for a layup, and the Clippers were in front 9-3.
From there, the Jaguars posted the next five points. Kyle Connor drove inside for a score, but the Jaguars scored twice more to take a 2-point lead.
Gabe Sullivan hit a jumper to regain the lead and then made a down-field toss that Connor converted into a layup and a 15-13 Clipper advantage. Fuller drove inside for two more points, but the Jaguars hit a three down the stretch and went into the locker room trailing by only a point, 17-16.
With Sullivan prepping for the varsity game, the Jaguars took control right away after halftime.
Jorden Rossow halted the 5-point rally with the Clipper's only three of the night. Kale Kelley and Brady Bostic both made free shots, and Miller found himself all alone under the basket for an easy two points, but the Jaguars put in the next two baskets for a 29-24 advantage.
Fuller took the bench with five fouls after that, and the Jaguars scored the next nine points. A pair of Kelley baskets from the foul stripe was the last of the scoring.
Miller led the effort with eight points. Fuller had five points. Connor added four points. Rossow had three points. Kelley made a trio of free shots for three points. Sullivan had two points, all in the first half. Bostic chipped in a point.
