Visiting Glenville-Emmons downed the B boys 47-39 on Thursday

Kyle Connor made the Clippers’ first two baskets. Ethan Fuller and Gabe Sullivan scored after, but the Wildcats pulled in front 13-8 before the Clippers spurted for eight points and a brief lead.

Fuller started the run with a jumper from the baseline. Connor pulled down an offensive rebound and scored, Kale Kelley (on the scramble above) took a Sullivan assist through the paint for a score, and, bookending the effort, Fuller scored inside for a 16-13 Clipper advantage.

But the rest of the half was all Wildcats with a three, a two and a free shot for a 19-16 lead at the break.

Glenville-Emmons recorded nine of the first 10 points of the second half. Jorden Rossow hit a three, but the Wildcats quickly canceled with a three for a 31-20 lead.

Connor and Fuller went to work after that, each with two buckets, but the Wildcats still maintained a nine point lead.

Scoring eight of the Clippers final 11 points, Kelley turned up the heat down the stretch and made the final basket just in front of the buzzer, but it wasn’t enough, and Glenville-Emmons hung on for the win.

Connor led the effort with a dozen points. Fuller had 11. Also in double figures, Kelly had 10 points. Rossow had four points, including the only Clipper three, and Sullivan added two points in one half played. The Clippers made two of 10 free throw attempts.

The Wildcats made 10 of 19 shots from the charity line and seven from beyond the arc.

On Tuesday, the Clippers fell 58-16 at St. Clair. Blake Lyons and Fuller each had four points. Sullivan put in a three. Connor also had three points. Kelley had two points.
