Lacey McCabe works her way to the bucket

Visiting Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial rolled over the B girls 44-13 on Thursday.

Delaney Thompson made a pair of singles after two trips to the foul line for the Clippers’ first points. Later, Taylor McCabe put in a basket from the floor, but that that that was the end of Cleveland scoring in the first half, and Knights were way out front, 29-4 at the break.

Coming into the game to start the second half, Lacey McCabe (above) made a basket and a free throw. Sister Taylor added a bucket, and Addi Holden scored from the floor. Taylor McCabe made the last Clipper basket.

Cleveland was successful on three of seven free-throw attempts while LCWM was two of six from the foul line. Neither team had a three pointer.

The B girls return to action on Monday when they travel to Lester Prairie. Reversed from typical order, they play at 7:30 pm while the varsity girls play at 6:00 pm.
