Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial shutout the visiting Clipper B-squad boys in the first half enroute to a 45-3 stomping on Tuesday.
Brady Bostic made the first of a pair of free throws to finally get the Clippers on the board, but the Knights had 35 points by then. Later, Jordan Schmidt made back-to-back free shots, but that was it for the Clipper offense.
The Clippers went to the foul line twice. The Knights put in a pair of threes and were nine of 17 in free throw shooting.
In the C game earlier, the Clippers trailed 41-9 at the half. A Nathan Brink two-pointer was the only Clipper basket in the second half, and the Knights cruised to the easy 70-11 win.
Brink also had a basket in the first half for four total points Mason Kluntz and Elijah Mons put in a basket in the first half. Gavin Karels made a three-pointer.
The Clippers were one of six from the foul line. The Knights made seven threes and were one of four in free throw shooting.
The B squad returns to action today (Friday) in a game against Granada-Huntley-East-Chain/Truman-Martin Luther in Northrop. There is no C game.
